Aspiring Financial Analyst | Data Enthusiast | Future Researcher
I am an undergraduate student of the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Financial Mathematics and Industrial Statistics.
I am passionate about financial analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization. I'm working to grow my expertise in financial forecasting, risk assessment, and investment analysis to become a well-rounded financial analyst.
My academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, and Programming for data analysis has equipped me with the analytical mindset and technical skills necessary to excel in the fields of finance and data science.
This is my first social research paper, conducted as part of the partial fulfillment of my degree. It explores how e-banking service quality impacts satisfaction and loyalty among undergraduates at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. Key findings offer valuable insights for improving user-focused digital banking experiences.
This is my second case study, conducted to analyze factors influencing restaurant revenue using multiple linear regression. It investigates the effects of key variables like customer count, menu pricing, and marketing spend while highlighting the limitations of the dataset. Findings provide insights into optimizing revenue strategies in the restaurant industry.
This is my third case study, focusing on fitting the Logistic Growth Model to explore sustainable fish harvesting. It provides valuable insights into balancing ecological conservation with efficient resource management, highlighting strategies for long-term sustainability in fisheries.
Object-oriented programming implementation in Java showcasing core OOP principles through a FOSMIS interface. This project demonstrates my understanding of Java programming and software development concepts.
This project applies modern portfolio theory to the Sri Lankan equity market, focusing on diversification and risk-adjusted performance for a small, beginner investor. Using historical data from selected CSE stocks, the analysis estimates expected returns, beta coefficients, Value at Risk (VaR), and Treynor Ratios. Three portfolio strategies — equal-weight, conservative, and aggressive — are compared to evaluate the balance between risk and reward in practical investment decision-making.
As part of my continuous learning in Investment Risk Management, I applied Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) to optimize a small investor portfolio using Sri Lankan stock market data (CSE). Using Excel Solver, I maximized the Sharpe ratio, reducing portfolio volatility while maintaining strong returns — a practical step toward understanding real-world risk-return optimization.
This project demonstrates my understanding and implementation of Object-Oriented Programming principles in Java. I built this as a partial fulfillment of my degree program. The video showcases the application's functionality and key features of a FOSMIS interface.
